Nickelodeon, or just Nick, is a childrens tv channel that launched in 1979, dedicated to airing fun entertaining shows for kids and teens, but is enjoyed by many adults too!
Nickelodeon is home to some of the most popular teen sitcoms such as All That, Clarissa Explains It All, Drake And Josh, iCarly, Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, Big Time Rush, Victorious, and Henry Danger!
But it is also home to its own dedicated animated series known as Nicktoons! Nicktoons have had the most cultural impact out of anything Nickelodeon has ever released, including such shows such as Rugrats, Spongebob Squarepants, The Fairly OddParents, Invader Zim, Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom, My Life As A Teenage Robot, Avatar The Last Airbender, Back At The Barnyard, Fanboy And Chum Chum, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Sanjay And Craig, Breadwinners, Harvey Beaks, Pig Goat Banana Cricket, The Loud House, Welcome To The Wayne, Middlemost Post, Rock Paper Scissors, and Wylde Pak!
I grew up watching Nickelodeon far more than either of its rivaling channels, I have vivid memories of watching Spongebob as a little kid, and I remember loving shows like Fanboy And Chum Chum, Sanjay And Craig, and even Breadwinners in spite of their divisive status! Nickelodeon has always held a major part in my life, whether it be posting Spongebob memes online, wearing Invader Zim shirts I got from Hot Topic, to watching new shows!
Even though I've technically grown out of Nickelodeon, and someone my age would be better off watching MTV or Comedy Central, I still choose to indulge in Nickelodeon into adulthood!
now for the good stuff, I have a whole gallery of Nickelodeon logos and pictures begging to be shared!
I find this logo to be really interesting, as even in its more uniform eras, there's so much you can do with it.
